Lightweight Composite Decking for Backyard
The biggest choice we are facing perhaps is what material should be used when planning an outdoor decking. Common materials are wood decking, composite decking, and PVC decking, and different materials vary in weight, performance, and cost. While the WPC lightweight decking has natural colors and textures, its durability and strength ensure longer use and reduces refurbishment and maintenance costs.
The above is our lightweight composite decking project installed in the backyard. The decking extends to the entire outdoor leisure area in the backyard, providing an excellent space for casual gatherings. Installing the decking around the swimming pool on the other side provides a safer and drier surface. The decking has excellent anti-skid and insulating properties and walking barefoot by the pool does not pose a hazard.
Lightweight composite decking is composed of wood fiber and plastic, it’s much lighter than real wood, that means the cost of transportation and installation can be reduced. Meanwhile, it is also 30 percent lighter than solid composite decking and thanks to a scientifically designed hollow honeycomb structure, is still strong enough to withstand the weight.
